Your Role at Pura:

We are looking to add an amazing Accountant at Pura. The right candidate would describe themselves as someone who is a self-starter, detail oriented, and a problem solver. This person will be looking to join a high-growth company and to grow along with it as challenges arise from the expansion. The Sr. Accountant will work closely with the Assistant Controller and report to that position. They will work to assess, design, and implement processes and internal controls. Month-end procedures will be a recurring task that should continually be addressed for possible improvements to streamline the process and timing of the close. 

You will help us inspire a belief in the power of fragrance to craft and elevate memorable moments for our Owners. This is your chance to make an impact in a high-growth company that’s redefining the way people experience scent.

What You’ll Own:

• Perform regular month end close tasks
• Reconcile bank accounts
• Reconcile merchant processors
• Reconcile various Balance Sheet accounts
• Manage company assets, including fixed assets and prepaid reconciliations
• Support internal/external audits, including providing audit documentation and responding to auditor requests
• Analyze financial statements for trends and fluctuations
• Manage process documentation
• Ensure compliance with GAAP accounting standards

Qualifications:

• CPA/CPA Tracking preferred but not required
• 3+ years of accounting experience, public accounting experience if possible
• Strong understanding of GAAP and Inventory
• Advanced knowledge of Excel 
• AR and AP experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or similar field
• NetSuite experience is a strong plus
• Ability to adapt and learn quickly
• Previous financial statement issuance experience
