Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Head of UX to lead and inspire our design team in creating world-class user experiences across our consumer touchpoints spanning our mobile app, e-commerce experience, and hardware devices. This role requires a deep understanding of human-centered design, a passion for innovation, and a track record of delivering impactful, user-centric solutions. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, deeply experienced in consumer product design, and a hands-on leader who can drive the design vision across our products while mentoring and growing a talented team.
 

The ideal candidate will:

  • Lead and inspire a multidisciplinary team of UX/UI designers and collaborate with cross-functional leadership to develop a best-in-class design vision and translate it into intuitive experiences that delight users and drive engagement.
  • Ensure the consistency and quality of the user experience across all digital products and platforms, and be able to quantify impact by defining and tracking key success metrics.
  • Possess deep expertise in testing and research methodologies, and work with Product and Engineering orgs to evolve the product development process to include them.
  • Develop internal rigor around usability testing, user research, and data analysis to inform design decisions and validate design solutions.
  • Communicate design concepts and strategies clearly and persuasively to stakeholders at all levels, and work closely with executive leadership to articulate the value of UX and design thinking within the organization.
  • Demonstrate a passion for people management, with a commitment to mentoring, developing, and growing the team.
  • Advocate for user-centered design principles and ensure that the user is at the core of all design decisions.
  • Have experience working with distributed teams and comfortable using remote collaboration tools and processes. 

Qualifications:

  • Strong portfolio showcasing a range of UX design projects and demonstrating a deep understanding of user-centered design principles. Consumer mobile app experience is a must. 
  • 7+ years of experience in UX design, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Proficiency in UX design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, InVision, or similar.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute methodically.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for creating exceptional user experiences.
