FP&A Manager
We are seeking a seasoned Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Manager. The right candidate would work across all teams to design and facilitate financial planning & analysis systems that allow Pura to strategically manage its business and financial metrics.
This is an IC role (not managing people).
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate, analyze, and report the financial performance to the senior leadership team.
- Prepare short and long-term financial forecasts for use with internal management and external parties.
- Optimize working capital as part of cash management.
- Responsible for corporate liquidity, investments, and risk management related to the company's financial activities.
- Increasing the timeliness of the monthly close through streamlining processes, while improving the accuracy and predictability of monthly results.
- Work with the FP&A team on the monthly reporting and providing suggestions for insightful analyses.
- Bring an understanding of SAAS metrics and contribute to the weekly analysis, discussions and action plans.
- Dive into revenue reporting and be a partner to the sales and marketing teams.
- Establish credibility throughout the organization as an effective developer of solutions to business challenges.
- Proficiency in all aspects of corporate accounting including GAAP and compliance with internal controls.
- Enhance and/or develop, implement and enforce policies and procedures by way of systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the company.
- Coordinate activities with outside audit firms, tax preparers and other accounting experts.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field
- Ten+ years of experience in accounting and financial reporting
- Strong understanding of both controllership and FP&A
- Proven experience in accounting function and in identifying and driving improvements
- Solid understanding of GAAP and applicable regulations
- Ability to produce forecasted cashflows and balance sheet
- Excellent critical thinking skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Detail oriented and highly organized
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and explain complex financial information in clear terms
- Skilled in time management and the ability to prioritize tasks
Preferred
- Masters degree in accounting or MBA
- CPA
- Experience with Netsuite and Carta
- Consumer technology
