Your Role at Pura:

We are looking to add an AR Manager at Pura. The right candidate would describe themselves as someone who is self-motivated and has an owner mentality. This person will grow with the team and provide pivotal strength in organization and collections of the company’s receivables. You will help us inspire a belief in the power of fragrance to craft and elevate memorable moments for our Owners. This is your chance to make an impact in a high-growth company that’s redefining the way people experience scent.

What You’ll Own:

• Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of AR processes to support a scaling, high-growth business.
• Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Success, Accounting, and FP&A to resolve billing issues, improve cash application, and drive working capital improvements.
• Establish KPIs (e.g., DSO, % current AR, collection effectiveness index) and report regularly to leadership on AR performance.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and support audit requirements related to accounts receivable.
• Support the implementation and optimization of ERP/AR systems.
• Prepare month-end close journal entries related to accounts receivable activities.
• Train and mentor team members (as applicable) to build AR capabilities across the organization.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in B2B receivables
• Experience with receivable platforms such as Ariba
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment 
• Demonstrated success reducing past-due balances and improving cash flow in a growth-oriented business.
• Research discrepant amounts on customer accounts to reconcile and clear invoices, short pays and overpays by creating spreadsheets, reviewing pricing, and working with departments
• Responsible for inputting customer invoices on a timely basis, ensuring the proper approvals – via sales orders and work orders – and sales taxes are applied, when necessary
• Manages cash receipts, ensuring the proper application to invoices is completed in an organized fashion
• Prepares the AR aging in order to review aging buckets and coordinates collection efforts
• Strong ERP system knowledge (NetSuite preferred) and experience integrating with customer portals.
