Our Systems Engineering team is looking for an Engineering Manager to join the team and create best-in-class solutions to solve problems and scale systems internally at Pura.
What you’ll own:
In this high-impact role, you will:
- Manage engineering across data engineering, backend systems, compliance, ERP/inventory management and site reliability engineering.
- Work with product and engineering to scope out work items, LoE (Level of Effort) and define deliverables.
- Work with product and data analysts to determine the importance of each task and stack rank them appropriately.
- Have engineers report to you and together be held accountable to business metrics.
- Monitor and evaluate team performance, providing constructive feedback, coaching, and mentoring to foster growth and enhance productivity.
- Champion a culture of quality, ensuring the implementation of best practices, code reviews, and testing strategies to deliver robust and reliable software solutions.
- Planning and executing strategies for completing projects on time
- Proposing and managing budgets for projects and tooling for your team
- Build teams over time with a mixture of internal and external resources.
- Provide clear and concise instructions to engineering teams
Qualifications:
- 4 years of people management experience.
- 6 years of individual contributor experience
- Cloud Architecture experience
- Preferably AWS
- Data Pipeline / ETL experience
- GDPR compliance or similar experience
- Familiarity with developing CI/CD pipelines that service multiple disciplines (mobile, firmware, etc.).
- On Call Rotations
- Project Management Experience
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills

- [nice to have] Cloud Cost Forecasting and Management
