Your Role at Pura:
We’re looking for a Temporary, Contract, Electronics Prototype Technician. You will help us inspire a belief in the power of fragrance to craft and elevate memorable moments for our Owners. This is your chance to make an impact in a high-growth company that’s redefining the way people experience scent.
*Due to the nature of the role, position is required ONSITE in Pleasant Grove, UT
- Responsibilities:
- Assemble prototype PCBAs using soldering iron, hot air/heat gun, rework tools, and other bench equipment
- Perform surface mount (SMT) and through-hole component soldering and rework
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, PCB layouts, and assembly drawings
- Perform component replacement, board modifications, jumper wires, and engineering rework
- Support prototype builds, bring-up activities, and engineering experiments
- Inspect solder joints and assemblies for quality and workmanship
- Troubleshoot basic PCB assembly issues with guidance from engineering teams
- Maintain organized work areas and follow ESD handling procedures
- Assist in testing and validation of electronics, at a component and system level
- Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with PCB assembly and electronic hardware prototypes
- Strong soldering and rework skills (SMT and through-hole)
- Ability to read schematics and understand basic circuit operation
- Experience working with fine-pitch components (QFN, QFP, 0402/0603 passives preferred)
- Familiarity with ESD practices and electronics lab environments
- Ability to work independently and follow detailed instructions
- Experience following test procedure instructions, and collecting data
- Experience compiling test data and creating test reports
- Preferred Experience:
- Experience supporting electrical engineering prototype development
- Familiarity with PCB inspection tools such as microscopes and multimeters
- Experience with wire harness assembly, connectors, and mechanical integration.
