Join Us at Pura—Reimagining Fragrance for the Future
At Pura, we believe life is better when it smells good. Fragrance has the unique power to transform spaces, elevate moods, and create lasting memories. But we know it can do even more. That’s why we’re pioneering the future of fragrance, combining cutting-edge smart home technology with premium, clean scents to create personalized, meaningful experiences in every home.
We’re not just a fragrance company—we’re on a mission to change the way people experience scent.
Why Join Pura?
Our journey began with two innovators, Richie Stapler and Bruno Lima, and their shared vision of revolutionizing how we experience fragrance. Since then, Pura has grown into a company that sells a fragrance every 3.7 seconds, partnering with iconic brands like Curio, Anthropologie, and Disney. We’ve been recognized as the Fastest Growing Company in Utah, and we are passionate about making scent a core part of life’s most memorable moments.
Your Role at Pura:
We're looking for a Finance Manager with a strong background in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) to own revenue strategy and retailer financial performance for Pura. This role sits at the intersection of Finance, Sales, and Marketing — responsible for revenue modeling, promotional and advertising spend efficiency, and the financial health of our retail partnerships.
The ideal candidate has 5–8 years of relevant experience, a sharp analytical mind, and a track record of managing retailer P&Ls and complex partner terms within a CPG or consumer products environment.
You will help us inspire a belief in the power of fragrance to craft and elevate memorable moments for our Owners. This is your chance to make an impact in a high-growth company that’s redefining the way people experience scent.
What You’ll Own:
- Own revenue modeling and forecasting across Retail and DTC channels, tracking performance against targets and flagging risks/opportunities
- Analyze and optimize promotional spend, ensuring trade investment drives measurable ROI
- Partner with Marketing to evaluate advertising spend efficiency and inform budget allocation across channels
- Manage chargeback tracking, root-cause analysis, and dispute resolution with retail partners
- Own and maintain retailer P&Ls, providing visibility into net margin by account and identifying levers to improve profitability
- Review and negotiate partner terms and contracts, ensuring alignment with financial targets and company policy
- Serve as the finance point of contact for Sales on deal structuring, pricing, and partner profitability discussions
- Build financial models to support new retail partnerships, program launches, and pricing/promotional decisions
- Monitor key revenue and retail P&L metrics, delivering regular reporting and recommendations to leadership
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA a plus)
- 5–8 years of progressive finance experience, with meaningful time spent in the CPG or consumer products industry
- B2B experience required, with a clear understanding of wholesale/retail partner dynamics (this is not a DTC-only background)
- Hands-on experience owning retailer P&Ls, trade/promotional spend analysis, and chargeback management
- Familiarity with reviewing and negotiating retailer/partner contracts and terms
- Strong understanding of advertising spend optimization and channel-level ROI analysis
- Advanced Excel/financial modeling skills; experience with ERP and BI tools (e.g., NetSuite, Tableau/Domo) preferred
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence both finance and non-finance stakeholders
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Experience working cross-functionally with Sales and Marketing teams
