The Opportunity

Pura is looking for an experienced, dynamic, and creative Director of eCommerce to join its team. As the Director of eCommerce, you will be responsible for leading Pura.com merchandising and optimization strategies across acquisition, retention and subscription business priorities.  The ideal candidate must have a proven record of driving revenue with a close eye on profitability. You must also be relentlessly pursuing new ways to optimize the online experience and tell our brand story in the most genuine way.

This role reports into the Revenue Organization and is a master of blending art and science. You combine creative thinking and analytics to deliver an industry-leading experience across our digital platforms. You're also always on the lookout for the latest digital commerce trends. 

You will serve as a critical change agent, providing insights that drive new ideas. You will need to dig deep into data to craft critical objectives, strategies and tactics, and then turn insights into action to drive results. 

What you’ll own:

  • The Director of eCommerce will be responsible for leading and managing the Pura.com channel consisting of highly-motivated merchandisers and optimization leads
  • Develop and execute the eCommerce strategy and growth plan with a focus on revenue and ARR. Subscription experience is a plus.
  • Responsible for daily ecommerce operations including, online merchandising, promotion, and content execution
  • Partner with Finance, Data, Rev Ops and various functions, to enhance our forecasting and reporting tools, and introduce a new level of accountability and transparency
  • Build and develop our eCommerce team with a strategic long-term outlook including new channels, international, etc
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop plans and track marketing calendars 
  • Establishes and determines key objectives and KPIs for conversion rate optimization through site journeys, site experience enhancements, photography, digital merchandising, and consumer satisfaction 
  • Direct the site roadmap to achieve brand and revenue goals through internal partnerships (i.e. UX, CRM, Creative) rooted in analytics, user testing and strategic integrations to bring the best consumer-centric experience to life

Experience you’ll need:

  • 10+ years of online sales experience and 3+ years as a team lead or people manager.
  • Consumer tech, beauty and subscription business experience is a plus.
  • Proven track record activating brand storytelling online and managing Seasonal / Holiday pace while driving results.
  • Proven experience and knowledge of Digital Marketing side of ecommerce, hands-on experience with paid, SEO, SEM, A/B testing, landing page optimization, conversion rate optimization, and web analytics (GA)
  • Extensive track record of working cross-functionally with Merchandising, Retail Stores, Marketing, CRM, Fulfillment, Customer Service, IT and Digital Ops/Technology and external vendors
  • Expertise across major digital platforms and curiosity for the next.
  • Ability to identify key metrics to drive success, measure KPIs, synthesize/socialize understanding and drive initiatives to completion.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, negotiation and planning skills; demonstrated success in influencing & communicating ideas to various business partners.
  • Experience thriving in a fast-paced, high growth environment.
  • Proactive, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
