Your Role at Pura:

This incoming Sr. UX Designer will oversee the Subscription vertical of our experience. Subscribers are highly valued customers. Ensuring we have a robust subscription experience that is flexible enough to meet user needs, delivers fragrances they need…is very important for our business. 

We're seeking a candidate who can seamlessly transition between detailed design work and high-level strategic thinking. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with diverse teams, and advocating for user-centered design principles. 

You will help us inspire a belief in the power of fragrance to craft and elevate memorable moments for our Owners. This is your chance to make an impact in a high-growth company that’s redefining the way people experience scent.

What You’ll Own:

  • Create detailed user flows, wireframes, and interactive prototypes for various features and experiences.
  • Rapidly iterate designs through user testing to validate assumptions and improve user experience.
  • Deliver fully-specced mocks with supporting documentation to the development team.
  • Maintain consistent user experience across assigned product lanes.
  • Collaborate closely with and influence Product, Engineering, Data, Marketing, and other functional partners. Ensure research insights + pain points are integrated into the product development process.
  • Conduct basic user research and usability studies to inform design decisions.
  • Be a culture steward. Help maintain and support a strong design culture.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to innovate and improve design processes.
  • Facilitate workshops, design sprints, brainstorming… to help push past ambiguity and identify both problem spaces and solutions. 
  • Advocate for user-centered design principles throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Product Design, Interaction Design, or related field.
  • 10+ years of UX experience, with a strong focus on web and mobile. Additional digital and emerging surface experience is a plus. 
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a variety of design projects.
  • Expertise in creating UX flows, artifacts and designs using Figma.
  • Prototyping skills: creating realistic representations of user experiences.
  • Skilled in both thinking micro (granular design details) and macro (strategy, cross-team connections).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Confident presenter and storyteller.
  • Strong business acumen: understanding of how UX design impacts metrics and drives business growth, and able to tell that story.
  • UXR: Ability to partner with UX Researchers. Ability to conduct basic usability studies and gather/synthesize feedback.
  • Strong understanding of human-centered design principles.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
