Pura is seeking an inspiring leader with the vision and skills to lead a creative team focused on building brand equity and driving business results.

The Creative Director role significantly impacts Pura’s success by creating strong conceptual content that aligns with the overall brand strategy. This individual must excel in building, leading, and mentoring a large team of creatives across multiple disciplines, including design, copywriting, and video production. The Creative Director is expected to collaborate with various departments, articulate a creative vision, and effectively execute it within a given budget and timeline.

Responsibilities:

  • Grow and lead a team of 10+  creatives while hiring, training, and developing staff to meet goals and objectives
  • Act as the creative voice in reviewing all creative content that the company produces
  • Be a mentor that creates a positive culture for all team members and coworkers within Pura through giving direct, actionable feedback
  • Build productive and positive relationships with key stakeholders, including UX, channel owners, website product management, brand marketing, external partners, etc.
  • Collaborate in the development of overarching creative strategies appropriate to each channel; work with the Brand and Acquisition team to continually optimize creative performance
  • Be an advocate for the overall Pura brand, what it stands for, how customers experience it, and how it should evolve.

Required Skills:

  • Experience hiring, managing, and mentoring creative professionals. Positive, inspirational leadership style that brings teams and departments together
  • Strong visual skill-set, creative sensibility, and experience executing print and digital assets, video production, and environmentals.
  • An exceptional range of past work that demonstrates conceptual thinking, cohesive visuals, and attention to detail.
  • Hands-on experience strategically developing creative solutions and campaigns
  • Expert knowledge of creative processes and all digital creative software tools
  • Performance oriented: A desire to build creative that drives measurable business impact
  • Strong project management skills; ability to effectively manage multiple projects and keep stakeholders informed of progress; track record of success in hitting aggressive timelines; sense of urgency
  • Ability to apply sound judgment to business, user, and brand needs; orientation to view creative as a system, rather than as individual pieces of execution
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills; demonstrated success building buy-in for an innovative and bold vision
  • Willingness to roll up the sleeves and do whatever is necessary to meet team goals

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS/BA in advertising, design, or relevant field required
  • 8+ years experience in creative execution
  • 3+ years creative management experience
  • Prior B2C experience is preferred

In-office Requirements

  • This is primarily an in-office role (Pura HQ in Pleasant Grove, UT). Hybrid work may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
